Sports Leaders UK awards and qualifications equip young people with employability skills for life improving motivation, self-esteem, communication, team work and confidence. Leadership volunteering is a vital part of all our courses allowing young people to practice and build their skills in order to ‘Give More. Become More.’ to improve employability.

-Fun and practical courses that focuses on leading rather than technical ability.

-Potential stepping stone into employment, further education or training.

-A good foundation to progress onto other Sports Leaders UK awards or qualifications, and/or a National Governing Body award.

-Develops generic leadership skills that will be vital in other areas of life.

-Allows those who are not sports superstars to take a full and active role in sport and physical activity.

-Increased self-confidence that comes through taking responsibility for own and others learning and enjoyment.

 

We currently deliver leadership programmes in Sports and Dance.

Level 1 in Sports Leadership

Objective: Sports Leadership Level 1 is a nationally recognised qualification that enables successful learners to assist in leading purposeful and

enjoyable sport/physical activity, under direct supervision.

Key content : Leadership skills including organisation, planning, communication and teamwork through the medium of sport.

Level 1 in Dance Leadership

The Level 1 is a nationally recognised qualification that enables successful learners to lead small groups in simple dance activities, whilst under

the direct supervision of their Tutor/Assessor or other suitably qualified adult.

The qualification teaches generic leadership skills such as organisation, planning, communication and teamwork through the medium of dance.

It is a fun and practical qualification with no entrance requirements or final examinations to sit.

Level 2 in Sports Leadership

Objective: Sports Leadership Level 2 is a nationally recognised qualification that enables successful learners to lead safe, purposeful and enjoyable

sport/physical activity, under indirect supervision.

Key content : Leadership skills including organisation, planning, communication and teamwork through the medium of sport.

 

Level 2 in Dance Leadership

The Level 2 has been designed to develop generic leadership skills that can be applied to a variety of dance situations as well as

contributing to the personal development of the learner.

The qualification provides the ideal starting point for learners who are aged 13 years and over and wish to develop their dance leadership skills.

This is a practical qualification where learners must demonstrate their ability to lead simple dance activities.
