Highfield and Brockwell progress to Mini Soccer Final

39 Year 5 and 6 pupils from four Chesterfield primary schools took part in a Mini Soccer Qualifier at Outwood Academy Newbold last Thursday.

After a hard-fought contest it was Brockwell Junior School and Highfield Hall Primary School that progressed to the final on 20th October as the top two placed teams.

They beat off competition from Holme Hall and Mary Swanwick primary schools, with Brockwell keeping a clean sheet across all three matches.

Mr Martin, of Highfield Hall, said: “It was a fantastic opportunity for our children to represent the school.

“It has also been nice to see an ex-pupil in a leadership role tonight.”

Well done to all participating teams and good luck to Brockwell and Highfield Hall in the finals!
