Five60 is a healthy eating and physical activity programme that is designed to increase physical activity, raise awareness and knowledge of nutrition choices and improve emotional well-being.

The main aim of the programme is to promote and encourage physical activity through increasing understanding and knowledge of the benefits of healthy eating. This is achieved through practical sessions delivered to primary school pupils.

At the Chesterfield School Sport Partnership we are targeting Year 3 pupils during the 2015/16 academic year, linking the Five60 programme to our Change 4 Life and Active Families sessions.

Reduce sedentary lifestyle by increasing confidence

Improve knowledge on the importance of good nutrition – contribute to making informed choices about their own health and that of their family and friends

Improve overall health and wellbeing

Expected outcomes

Contribute to the reduction of childhood obesity

Change attitudes towards the uptake of physical activity and healthy food choices

Schools can now book Five60 sessions which start in January.
