Six Year 9/10 Girls’ Football teams from across Chesterfield took part in the final of our secondary competition yesterday.
After winning every game, Hasland Hall Community School were crowned champions ahead of St. Mary’s Catholic High School.
There were also teams from Brookfield Community School, Netherthorpe School, Springwell Community College and Outwood Academy Newbold.
Mr Leatherday, of Hasland Hall, said: “They’re a really good team. There’s a few that play for teams outside school but the whole team work together well.”
The tournament was played in a great spirit, highlighted by the players posing for a big group photo at the end. Well done to everyone that took part!
