Cerebral Palsy Sport is the country’s leading national disability sports organisation supporting people with cerebral palsy to reach their sporting potential.
They aim to increase sporting participation among people who suffer with Cerebral Palsy. Exercise and physical activity are important for everyone’s health and those with illnesses should not have to miss out.
The organisation tailors disability sport to those with the condition with the aim of reducing the barriers and isolation they may feel when it comes to physical activity.
Cerebral Palsy Sport are bringing three activity programmes to the Rutland Sports Park and Rutland Recreation Ground in Ilkeston on Saturday 28th November. See below for details:
Athleticstart Day – 10:00am – 1:00pm – £5 per person.
Suitable for all levels between the ages of 8 and 13. A fun introductory athletics session run by experienced coaches.
RaceRunning – 10:30am – 12:30pm – £5 per person.
For children, young people and adults who cannot functionally run and rely on sports aids for mobility and balance.
Athletics Training Day – 10:00am – 3:00pm – £10 for members & £15 for non-members
Suitable for all ages 8 and above. Utilise experienced coaches to aid your development. Also includes RaceRunning.
